Discover the Joy of Pottery with a Taster Session!
Curious about pottery but not ready to commit to a full course? Our taster sessions are the perfect way to give it a go! In a relaxed and welcoming environment, you’ll learn the basics of hand-building and wheel throwing while creating your very own ceramic pieces. No experience is needed — just bring your curiosity, and we’ll provide everything else (including tea, coffee, and nibbles!).
Pottery Taster Session - Handbuilding and Potter's Wheel
3 hours session
Have a go at trying your hand at the beautiful art of ceramic making. The session is 3 hours long and is split into two parts. You will be experimenting with making a mug using the hand-building technique first, followed by a short break for coffee and cakes .The second half of the session will start with a short demonstration from your teacher and then you will dive in making little pots on the potter’s wheel. At the end of the session you can choose a maximum of 2 pieces you have made that will be collected at a later date, after they have been glazed and fired by us. Usually within 4 weeks time.

*Suitable for adults and children aged 8 and over when accompanied by a paying, participating adult.
Pottery Taster Session - Handbuilding - 2 hours session
Why not dive into the wonderful world of ceramic making? It’s such a delightful way to express your creativity! Our lovely two-hour session will guide you through the process of crafting your very own cup and saucer using pinching and coiling tecqniques. Then, you’ll have the chance to let your imagination run wild while creating a charming figurine of your choice using the taught methods. Once you’ve finished your masterpieces, you can select up to two pieces to take home with you later—don’t worry, we’ll handle the glazing and firing for you, and you can expect to collect them in about four weeks. How exciting! The cost for this delightful experience is just £65, and it’s perfect for anyone aged eight and above. We can’t wait to see you there and share this creative adventure together!

Family-Friendly Pottery Taster: Create together and have a go on the potter’s wheel.
